DRIVE FRONT NOSE PIECES
Aftermarket / plastic nose and pieces will be permitted, however, these nose pieces
must be mounted in such a manner that the nose of the car appears unaltered, and fits the rest of the cars body with bumper behind nose piece. BELTS a) The use of at least a five point seat belt system including a crotch belt is required. The system is to be mounted to the frame and not to the floor pan. The mounts must be run at the same direction, as the belts are intended to secure the driver. The belt webbing must be protected from any sharp cutouts in the sheet metal or any other sharp edges. The date on the belt must not exceed 3 years. b) Seat belt webbing that comes into contact with any sharp or unradiused metal edge must be protected from that edge by means of push on grip vinyl trim. The areas of concern are the webbing slots in the metal racing seats. All the seat manufacturers either roll the edge or supply the seat with trim protecting the webbing from abrasion or cutting under impact conditions. Webbing entry slots into the seat with an existing metal roll of one eighth inch (1/8”) smooth radius will not require vinyl trim. c) The areas where the webbing slot has been enlarged by filing or cutting are of particular concern. In most instances the edges have been left sharp, increasing the incidence of belt failure. As racing seat belts are subjected to severe conditions, it is encouraged that worn / frayed belts are replaced immediately and undamaged belts are replaced every 24 months. The date sewn into the webbing should be used as a guide. Damaged belts will also not be permitted. TIRES AND WHEELS No snow tires, recaps, or doughnuts. 7" wide DOT tires only. 7" wide rims only. For safety we encourage steel wheels but allow aluminum wheels. All rims must be stock and must be attached to hubs as per stock manufacturers recommendations. No wheel spacers, off sets, or off set rims. Wheels must be mounted with lug nuts. No knock-off mounting devices allowed. Over-sized lug-nuts recommended. Wheel weights or balancing lead are not allowed. BRAKES Must have 4 wheel brakes and lock up during inspection. Stock type disc brakes may be used but no aluminum or racing style calipers or rotors may be used. No shut off devices allowed. ROLL CAGE Must have four post design roll cage using 1-1/2 by .095 wall minimum round tubing must be used. The cage must be welded to the frame or bolted to both floor and roof using steel plates. The bars must extend at least 2 inches above drivers head and include two bars above the drivers head. 2 bars on the right side, a bar connecting the front posts immediately above or below the steering column. All bars near the driver must be covered with padding. May have bars from back of cage to rear of car. Entire roll cage must be constructed with round tubing only and no solid bars . MUFFLERS Mufflers are required on all cars - 100 decibels maximum. ELECTRONICS No radios or other communication devices are permitted. No in-cockpit driver controlled electronic devices of any kind permitted. No computer controlled devices of any kind permitted. PASSENGERS No one shall be allowed to ride on or in the car as a passenger on the track at any time. All race cars are subject to judgment of the inspection officials. No wings or tunnels of any type permitted under the car. Removal of trunk lid or back hatch on car is not allowed .
