All Star Midgets Headline Hilltop

Once again the Modifieds gave the fans a very exciting show as Kevin Morehouse passed Norm Aronhalt and Allan Baker to take the lead while Kyle Brown, Rory Reed, and Jess Hartman would also advance and challenge for the top spots. Under the checkers Baker and Aronhalt could only follow Morehouse across the line while Hartman and Reed filled the top five. Morehouse and Baker also won heats. Rice Excavating and Morehouse Logging helped make this feature win possible for the popular # 28 Kevin Morehouse race team.
Dad and Daughter racers Dave Haven Sr. and Donna Canode spotlighted the Pure Stock division as both would claim heat wins and start the main event side by side. At the drop of the green Donna left dad behind to lead all laps and claim her career first feature win. Chad Craver was coming on strong to challenge toward the end followed by Fred Snyder, Haven Sr., and Brandon Gardner to complete the top five. Donna is sponsored by Howard Hanna Real Estate, Service First Title Agency, and Pitt Stop Exhaust.

 

The race of the night had to go to the Mini Stocks, wide open and three wide it can be anyones race in this division. Tonight Dale Beckett Jr. stepped up to the plate and hit a home run against Hilltops tougest team of Mark and Terry Adkins. Terry chased Beckett around the high banks and when he couldn't get the pass done Mark moved ahead to challenge. A surprising twist occured when the hood blew open on Andy Parks EZ1 machine and he came to a stop on the track causing a yellow and was sent to the end of the line. The hard charging Parks then picked off cars one by one including both Adkins brothers but time ran out before he could run down Beckett. Beckett is sponsored by Holmes Tire, Beckett Auto Sales, The Bargain Shed, and TBS Carpet Outlet. In the final race of the night we saw Tim Jensen come from the tail to win the Mini Truck feature followed closely by Tiffany Combs in second, her career best to date.
